ROUND 1, PHASE 2 SUMMARY

DATES: FEB. 26 - MARCH 25, 2008 (29 DAYS OF HCG INJECTIONS )
STARTING WEIGHT: 168.8
ENDING WEIGH: 154.0
WEIGHT LOSS: 14.8

START OF PHASE 3- MARCH 28,2008

I HAD BUMPY PHASE 2. I WENT TO A CLINIC CLOSE TO MY WORK TO GET THE HCG INJECTIONS. OVER PAYED FOR THEM, AND DIDN'T LIKE THE CLINIC. THE CLINIC DIDNT GO EXACTLY BY DR.SIMEONS PLAN, THEY TRIED TO MAKE IT THERE OWN, AND I DIDNT LIKE THAT. I STILL GAVE THEM MY MONEY AND DID THE PROTOCOL. I AM GRATEFUL FOR MY LOSE, BUT I KNOW I COULD HAVE LOST MORE WEIGHT THAN I DID. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO EXERCISE, SO I DID. I WOULD DO 1 HR OF CARDIO A DAY (NOT WALKING EITHER, THE ELLIPTICAL, AND RUNNING). THEN I LEARNED (AT THE END) THAT EXERCISE STALLS YOUR WEIGHT LOSS, GREAT! NOW THAT I LOOK BACK, I WAS GETTING OVER A COLD THE FIRST WEEK OF P2, AND DIDNT WORK OUT. I WAS AVERAGING A LOSS OF MORE THAN A POUND A DAY. THEN I STARTED GOING TO THE GYM, MY WEIGHT STALLED FOR A LOT OF DAYS. IT WAS SO FRUSTRATING, AND STRESSFUL. THEN IT WENT TO HALF A POUND A DAY ( IF I WAS LUCKY). THIS HAD ALOT TO DO WITH THE EXERCISE. I WAS A MAD WOMEN EXERCISING LIKE CRAZY THEN GETTING HOME AND HAVING TO BE HUNGRY , GO FIGURE! I DIDNT MAKE IT TO THE 40 DAYS LIKE I WANTED TO BUT NOW I SEE MY MISTAKES.

I AM GOING TO DO ANOTHER ROUND OF P2 SOON. THIS TIME I AM GOING TO DO IT ON MY OWN, ORDER IT ONLINE, FOLLOW IT 100%, BE POSITIVE, AND NO EXERCISE.

I AM ON PHASE 3 NOW - DAY 5
MY WEIGHT THIS MORNING WAS 157
IM UP 3LBS :(
DIDNT DO A STEAK DAY TODAY, BECAUSE I DID ONE YESTERDAY AND IT WAS GOOD. I WAS UP 4 POUNDS YESTERDAY ( DEAR LORD!) THANKS TO THE WEEKEND
I GOT A LITTLE TO HAPPY TO BE OFF THE VLCD, AND F*#K-D UP
IM STILL EXERCISING, I HAVE TO KEEP DOING IT SINCE IVE BEEN DOING IT THE WHOLE TIME.
BUT THE SAD THING IS ALL THAT HARD WORK AND IT DID NOTHING FOR ME, IT ACTUALLY HURT ME.
TOMORROW WILL BE ANOTHER STEAK DAY

ONE QUESTION FOR YOU HCG VET'S- CAN I START ANOTHER ROUND OF P2 WITH 3 WEEKS OFF THE VLCD?
OR SHOULD I WAIT THE FULL 6 WEEKS? IM EGAR TO DO IT SOON,

Hi Eri,
Many people just take a 3 week P3 break and then go right back into P2 without any issues. It all depends on how your body is responding and how mentally ready you are. So if you really want to make it work, be prepared, follow the plan and DON'T cheat! I know that many people seem to do okay with small cheats but I find that while on HCG my body is not so forgiving and I will gain. And yes, strenuous excercise makes me stall unless I remember to take in extra protein and fruit when I do something like a long hike.
I think if you just start following Dr. S's protocol you can't go wrong. Some of the innovations that the clinics have done are not that bad. Like adding in Broccoli and cauliflower and an alternative to a steak day.
Which is just going back to following the VLCD for one day and then back to P3 on the next day until you're back to your LIW.
So let us know if you have more questions and good luck to you!

Hey Eri,

I think you should remember that you lost 14 pounds!!!! Speaking as someone that lost like 15 or 16 lbs (with much cheating as everyone here knows) I think it's great. Nursing means stress and fast food - at least it was like that when I worked in the ER. That you took off that much weight is AMAZING. Also, you started out, hcg-wise, as a small person. I'd dream to be in the 170's - so you might not lose quite as much as those folks who have so much to lose!

Besides, it's all a mind set, isn't it? Just learning to pay attention to your food intake, slowing down and chewing it and really tasting it (because there's not much of it), and for me, not eating CRAP, that was also a big victory. So I say, welcome to the blogging community - I was the most recent newbie - and hang in there. I'd wait a little to get on hcg - just to make sure that the next round isn't disappointing because you started the hcg too soon...

Also, I just got an rx for hcg - and any MD can get you that, and an rx for the syringes and needles and had my husband do it. Screw the overpriced "clinic" - I'll bet you know as much or more than they do anyway.

Hang in there. I think 14 lbs is GREAT!!!
